S-s-sun!

I really like how we are getting eased in to MFWK. This morning Miss K told me that the "A-a-apple" song is her favorite song, and she has been singing different versions of it all day. Halfway through the S-s-sun unit, we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and make these sun prints:

We also made a sun dial this week (and discovered a couple days later that it does not work when the sky is overcast).
Our sun dial, made w/clay from the lake!

We made some crafts...

For book day, we read Moonbear's Shadow. We wanted to act out the story outside in the sun, but it was overcast and chilly, so we used a bear and a desk lamp and put on a puppet show instead. We then listed the ways Moonbear tried to get rid of his shadow, and Miss K drew out two of the ways.
